The Editor

If you don’t necessarily have the time to head to the museum, if contemporary art intrigues you as much as it challenges you, and if you sometimes feel out of place in an exhibition, here’s some news that should delight you. This June 6th, there’s no need to go out to enjoy art, because art is coming to you. All across the capital, there will be over 100 projects of all kinds (including 14 emblematic ones as part of Barbara Butch's special initiative) that will resonate with you until the breaking dawn. Throughout the evening, talented artists will share their vision of love and their commitment to spreading it. And since it can be tough to choose from so many fantastic options, we’re bringing you our 8 must-sees.

The Declaration

It’s at the town hall square where Barbara Butch will kick off this 25th Nuit Blanche, with one goal: to gather as many people as possible around art.

mour. A unifying, diverse love that overflows and connects. Starting at 7 PM, as the sun bathes Paris in its last rays and after a sporty warm-up with the Swedish Fit teams, the DJ and their mystery guests will turn the square into a rooftop dance floor. Together, they'll make music a common language, to open the doors to this magical evening.

Liquid Mirror

In one of the most beautiful museums in Paris, French-Hungarian artist Mathias Kiss transcends time to blur our perceptions. In a creation full of movement and fluidity, the pixel, a symbol of technological modernity, leaves the screen to mingle with the 1900s architecture of the Petit Palais. Thus, he highlights the in-between, a state of transition during which ... Everything is possible. An original mirror that plays with the visitors and the works of the institution.

2, avenue Winston Churchill – 8th

Big Heart

We cross the street to discover the monumental installation by Milosh Łuczyński, known as VJ Milosh. An immense inflated red heart, positioned under the dome of the Grand Palais. A work of contrast, both monumental and fragile, vibrant yet vulnerable. Its red light, like a beacon in the night, draws the eye, conveying a message and reminding us that love is stronger than hate, fear, and everything else. A gigantic installation that highlights the full power of humanity.

Sirène Nocturne

Art in a museum is classic. In a theater, it’s not surprising. Even in the street, it’s (almost) common now. But in a swimming pool, that's a surprise we didn't see coming! That's exactly what the amazing artist Annette Messager offers us, transforming the newly renovated Château Landon swimming pool into a living stage filled with mermaids and mermen. These mythical figures have attracted, fascinated, and sparked desire since ancient times.

We rise by lighting others

Marinella Senatore invites us to a creation at the crossroads of arts at place de la Bataille de Stalingrad. By mixing architecture, light, and language, she offers us a chance to discover a plural work throughout the night, covering the façade of the Rotonde with symbols, colors, and texts. In this space marked by circulation, between the Canal Saint-Martin and the Bassin de la Villette, art becomes an integral part of the city, inviting us to share and meet.re et à la communication.

Against the Current

This is undoubtedly the project with the largest scale on this list. The April 3rd...Last, the LUSA, a small Mediterranean boat, set sail from the port of Sète with a single goal: to reach the capital. After two months of navigation, having traveled nearly 1000 km of rivers and waterways and crossed more than 170 locks, it will finally connect to the capital on June 6, transforming into a floating installation inspired by the giants of carnival. A moving work, symbolizing the connection between territories and the flow of love that transcends borders.

Yellow Party

Over at the Carreau du Temple, choreographer Mickaël Phelippeau invites you to join a participatory dance. And it’s the color yellow, a symbol of life and movement, that will take center stage. Not only are all participants encouraged to wear a yellow garment or accessory, but also, during the first part of the evening, artists will perform choreographies to songs that all include the color yellow (in French or not) in the title. The evening will conclude with an explosive DJ set by Verginie Descente.

4, rue Eugène Spuller – 3rd

We Love Each Other

To immerse ourselves in love throughout the night, and to showcase the unifying power of this incredible feeling, the City of Light invited its residents, facing the camera, to recite a phrase that is as simple as it is magical: “We love each other,” ahead of the Nuit Blanche. Alone, in pairs, or in groups, dozens and dozens of participants joined in the fun, and their videos will circulate all night in the streets of the capital on LED trucks, to create a wonderful conversation between voices and faces, and declare once and for all Paris as the city of love.
