We’re going to see unique creations at the Festival of Marseille!
For over three weeks, the Festival of Marseille takes over the city for its 31st edition, across about fifteen venues. From Friche la Belle de Mai to KLAP, and from the Cité Radieuse to the Ballet National de Marseille and La Criée, the city transforms into a playground for exploration and sharing, celebrating a multicultural vision of the arts and society, as well as the Mediterranean identity and the history of Marseille. What’s on the agenda? Dance performances, shows, films, meet-ups, concerts, and other festive events taking place on stage and in urban spaces, where bodies express themselves, tell stories, recite, and create anew.

Rediscovering the work of Sempé at Château de la Buzine
The first major Marseille exhibition dedicated to Jean-Jacques Sempé, a key figure in contemporary drawing, Rêver le monde showcases several decades of his career, from Petit Nicolas to the covers of works by Marcel Pagnol that capture the essence of Provence. Designed as a journey through six chapters, the exhibition features about fifty original drawings, rare editions, and items from the artist's studio, revealing an artist who left a lasting impression with humor and sensitivity, balancing the genius of line work with the softness of watercolors.

The world of Havana Club is coming to the Phocean City for a summer day to celebrate Cuban culture and the art of cocktails. El Authentic Rum of Cuba will set up on Wednesday, July 1 at La Cabane des Amis in the 8th district, with decor inspired by Havana and the colors of the Caribbean, showcasing the great classics of Cuban mixology, from Daiquiri to Cuba Libre, reflecting the brand's identity. Time for some fun at the Mondial La Marseillaise à Pétanque

From July 3 to 8, the 65th edition of the largest international pétanque competition in the world, a.k.a. the Mondial La Marseillaise à Pétanque, is back for six days of competitions, initiation sessions, and demonstrations. Every year, over 13,000 players of all levels come together, and the competitions are open to everyone, whether you're licensed or not, with no age restrictions. You'll find it happening in various locations around the city, from Parc Borély to Parc Henri Fabre, and even at Stade Didier. In short, it's time to unleash the pétanque enthusiast in you!

Let's treat ourselves to a delicious Kazdal
There are some spots in Marseille that you can never get tired of. One of those is Kazdal, a handmade Moroccan sandwich shop tucked away on rue des Trois-Mages – nestled between Cours Ju’ and La Plaine – that has won us over sandwich after sandwich in just one year of opening. Here, as the name suggests, you can indulge in a crazy good “casdal” with Mediterranean flavors and sunny recipes from Morocco.
