We're gently tucking September away, and Lille seems to have decided to spare us the little bout of blues that comes with it. Lille glows pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October naturally kicks off in pink. Starting Thursday evening, several of Lille's iconic monuments, including the Belfry, the Grand-Place, the Old Stock Exchange, the Opera, and the Northern Theatre, will be illuminated to raise awareness about breast cancer screening. The lights will remain visible until October 5th.

The Science Festival is Back to Tickle Our Brains
The University of Lille is launching its Science Festival with workshops, experiments, meetings and open houses around a rather delicious theme: "Learned Flavors." For the general public, a free scientific trail will be set up at the Pasteur Institute on Saturday and Sunday.

Up to 15,000 people expected for the Pink Ribbon Challenge
We're wrapping up the weekend for a great cause. The Pink Ribbon Challenge returns around the Citadelle with walking and running routes of 5 or 10 km to raise awareness about breast cancer screening. After 10,000 participants in 2025, this year's goal is climbing to 15,000.
