The Editor

Every year, the Michelin Guide ceremony is eagerly awaited like the Messiah by the restaurant world. Who will win a star? Who will lose their title? Who will be honored with a prestigious award? No more suspense, we already know the names of the winners for 2025. And let's just say that the list brings us joy, especially with the presence of (spoiler alert) Adrien Cachot, unanimously voted the best candidate of Top Chef ever, with his restaurant Vaisseau.

A lovely list for the capital

This year, 65 new stars have been awarded, which is 3 more than last year, proving that humanity keeps making progress. Among them, 57 have earned their first star (compared to 52 last year).

Aldehyde – 4th
Hakuba – 1st
Origines – 8th
Vaisseau – 11th
Amalia – 11th
Agapé – 17th
Sushi Shunei – 18th

We do miss a bit of the representation from the Left Bank in this list, but we still want to congratulate all the teams who have managed to stand out this year. In addition to this list, some restaurants have been awarded specific prizes, like Fana in the 18th, and Mallory Gabsi (the restaurant named after its chef, another great favorite from Top Chef), in the 17th. Both of these places received the Passion Desserts 2025 award. On his part, Valentin Cavalade from Jules Verne (7th) received the Service Award. These establishments join the list of prestigious restaurants!x restaurants that are part of the Michelin Guide selection, after the 8 new Bib Gourmands revealed at the beginning of the month.

A Shower of Stars

Along with these exciting newcomers who must be over the moon, 2 more restaurants are joining this list by receiving their 2nd star (a distinction earned by a total of 8 restaurants). Unfortunately, this year, no Parisian venue has managed to achieve the ultimate feat of snagging a 3rd award. And even though it’s a bit sad, 2 stars are still very, very impressive!

And after the Jules Verne (7th), Maison Ruggieri (8th), and L'Orangerie (Hôtel George V, 8th) last year, it’s now Blanc (16th) and Sushi Yoshinaga (2nd) reaching the very respectable milestone of two stars in 2025. Congratulations to everyone, and let’s have a heartfelt thought for the 8 restaurants in the capital that have sadly lost a star this year. You’re all still doing great work, friends!
