The historic department store is celebrating the Lunar New Year and offering fun activities to showcase Asian culture until February 4th. It kicks off on February 1st with a dazzling Dragon Dance to spice up your shopping experience: the performance will slither from Pont-Neuf to Place de la Monnaie, and then enter the store to culminate under the stunning glass roof on the 5th floor. Shows are scheduled for 11 AM, 3 PM, and 5:30 PM. Finally, from January 31st to February 2nd, dive into the art of perseverance with a embroidery demonstration, and shop for the best Asian beauty brands, like Florasis, K Beauty Anua, Beauty of Joseon, and COSRX, which will be available for purchase just for this special occasion!

2. Delicious Large Tables in Belleville

A true pioneer in celebrating Parisian street food, the Iconic Food Market of Belleville promises a journey through Asian flavors during a special Lunar New Year evening on Thursday, January 30. In the central median of Boulevard de Belleville, between the Ménilmontant and Couronnes metro stations, red lanterns will light up to guide your taste buds. From delicious dumplings to tempting barbecues, every corner of the market will offer a variety of authentic flavors to enjoy with the... with fingers or with chopsticks. A culinary celebration, but also a visual feast: the drums will echo to the rhythm of the Lion Dance, while the vibrant colors of the Year of the Dragon will fill the space. 3. The multiple parades scattered throughout Paris 

Every year, a multitude of parades transform your favorite neighborhoods with an explosion of colors. It all kicks off on the world’s most beautiful avenue: on Sunday, February 2, 2025, the endless procession of vehicles racing down the Champs-Élysées will pause to make way for a long parade of dragons and snakes, accompanied by the sound of cymbals, drums, and firecrackers. The parade is set to begin at exactly 3 PM, right in front of Fouquet’s Paris.

And the 13th will also be lighting up with a thousand sparks! On Sunday, February 9th,  Starting at 2:30 PM, the streets will come alive at 44 Avenue d'Ivry for a sparkling parade that will wind through Rue de Tolbiac, Avenue de Choisy, and Boulevard Masséna, before returning to its starting point. Dancing dragons, majestic lions, shimmering costumes, and mesmerizing music will delight your senses, setting the perfect tone to kick off the new year in style!

4. The Giant Creatures of the Guimet Museum 

To celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Wood Snake, the National Museum of Asian Arts - Guimet is rolling out the red carpet for Asian traditions with an exciting lineup! On the festive menu: creative workshops where kids can learn about good luck wishes, a multisensory storytelling tour that combines fun and culture! Let the legends of the New Year dance before our eyes, and a spectacular Lion Dance that will roar at the heart of the Khmer courtyard. However, the Guimet Museum won't just celebrate the lunar New Year indoors: from January 31 to February 2, 2025, huge mythical creatures will light up its forecourt.

5. Allers-Retours Chinese Independent Film Festival

From January 31 to February 8, 2025, the Allers-Retours festival will shine a spotlight on Chinese cinema.

The events will take place in three iconic locations in the capital: the famous Musée Guimet, where the opening night is organized on the 31st, as well as Studio des Ursulines and Pathé Les Fauvettes. 6. The exhibition 
At Full Speed at the 13th arrondissement town hall

Inspired by the festivities organized by the 13th arrondissement town hall in celebration of the Lunar New Year, the exhibition à Full Speed by Charles Dengpheng  invites you to reflect on identity and origins. Through a series of photographs, the artist captures the striking contrast between the frenzy of Vietnamese cities and the serenity of certain places suspended in time. This confrontation between past and present, caught at high speed, invites us to...explores the many facets of identity in a constantly evolving Vietnam. It will be showcased from January 28 to February 12 at the Bièvre Gallery in the 13th arrondissement.

7. The Family Weekend at the Cernuschi Museum  

To wrap things up, the Cernuschi Museum is also embracing the vibrant energy of the Lunar New Year by offering a multitude of family activities  for the weekend. These will kick off on Saturday, February 1st at 11:30 AM with a musical storytelling performance My Kingdom for a Dish, featuring actress Isabelle Genlis and musician Hồ Thuy Trang, followed by a creative activity themed around the snake starting at 2:30 PM. The day will close with a Lion Dance performed by the Paris Lion Sport Association at 4 PM. The next day, the same fun activities will be offered again!all about Buddha and at the entrance of the museum, and you don't need to reserve to pop in and say hi!
