Discover the paintings of the School of Paris at the Montmartre Museum

They brought a new breath to the history of art, gave birth to modernity, and contributed to the shine of the French capital as a major artistic scene on a global scale. The artists of the School of Paris – Ossip Zadkine, Amedeo Modigliani, Chaïm Soutine, Chan Orloff, Tamara de Lempicka… – allowed the world to see art as a medium for messages, a universal language. It is to these remarkable figures, painters and sculptors, to their stories and their works, that the Montmartre Museum pays a powerful and vibrant tribute through its exhibition The School of Paris, Marek Roefler Collection available until February 15, 2026.

Six years of struggle and dedication have paid off, and proof of this is the official reopening of the independent cinema on rue Daubenton. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 14, 2026, for the first screenings, including the opening film Talking About Trees by Suhaib Gasmelbari.
