Design Icons
Once again this year, PAD Paris brings together emerging galleries and internationally renowned dealers for 5 days. Visitors can admire, for example, the booth of David Zwirner — one of the largest international galleries specializing in contemporary art. David Zwirner is participating in PAD Paris for the first time, showcasing a selection of furniture by Franz West (1947-2012), an Austrian artist for whom art was also a social experience.

Aurélien Serre
While PAD Paris was once the preferred playground of institutional galleries, more and more flea market dealers are making their mark at the event, like Aurélien Serre. Trained at the Bordeaux School of Architecture, the young Frenchman quickly developed a passion for 20th-century design, particularly that of the 60s and 70s. In 2012, he set up shop at the Saint-Ouen flea market and asserted his presence.Year after year, his love for rare and timeless pieces. Aurélien Serre is now developing his own contemporary creations in parallel, "dream pieces that he has never found" and that he will present in the spring at PAD as well as in his new gallery on the Left Bank, Rue des Saints-Pères in Paris.Pair of "Pileo" floor lamps, by Gae Aulenti, Italy from around 1970 © Oracle Paris
