Previously tested in Paris since November 2024, Uber by Women is officially arriving in Toulouse. With over 150,000 trips completed in the capital, the concept has won hearts, with 85% of female drivers feeling it enhances their safety and comfort. It's a green light for national expansion.
The principle is simple: a ride reserved for women, for more peace of mind. Thanks to Uber by Women, female users can request a ride for themselves, a friend, or a colleague, with a female driver. On their end, drivers can choose to connect only with female passengers. This dual freedom puts women back in control of their travel conditions.
Longer wait times, but totally embraced
Fewer drivers, more waiting: a compromise we stand by. In Toulouse, nearly a hundred women drivers are currently available for this service. Naturally, this affects wait times: about 15 minutes compared to an average of 4 minutes for UberX. If the option isn’t showing up in the app, it simply means no driver is available nearby. Total transparency, no false suspense.
Lyon joins a network of cities committed to more peaceful rides. Since February 9, Uber by Women has been accessible in twelve French cities, including Lille, Bordeaux, and Toulouse. The goal is clear!ir : offer a credible alternative for women who want to travel stress-free, both day and night.
