On May 17, 2024, is set to be a memorable day for Toulouse, as the Olympic flame will make a stop in the city on its way to Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games. But the flame will start its day in the town of Revel, then Villemur, Muret, Rieux-Volvestre, Colomiers, Luchon and finally arrive in Toulouse around 5:30pm. In fact, the schedule is so meticulous that two flames are planned to avoid passing through each city with the same flame.

The 100% Toulouse Route

The journey through the pink city will start at Saint-Cyprien, at the intersection of the alleys Charles-de-Fitte and Etienne-Billières, before winding through different iconic neighborhoods. The flame will successively light up the Place Saint-Pierre, La Daurade, the Capitole and Saint-Sernin, then it will continue along the boulevards Strasbourg, Arcole and Lascrosses. Then, near the sports palace André-Brouat, it will stop at the Hotel du Département before following the Boulevard de la Marquette and finishing its course via the road to Blagnac to the Ernest-Wallon stadium.

This spectacular journey is the result of a close collaboration between the city of Toulouse, the Department, the prefecture and the organizing committee Paris 2024. The goal is to showcase the local heritage and create a festive atmosphere around this Olympic symbol. This event is not limited to Toulouse, but also shines in other cities in Occitanie, highlighting the regional importance of this celebration.
