If you used to wander into Casa to shop for a stylish lamp or some cute little cushions, it’s time to say goodbye to that routine. The downtown store on rue des Puits Clos, as well as the ones in Balma-Gramont, Labège, and Portet-sur-Garonne, are closing their doors for good. What’s the reason? The liquidation of Casa Belgium (the parent company) and a judicial recovery process for Casa France at the end of March 2025.

The windows display a huge “-50 %”, the shelves are emptying at lightning speed, and there’s a bit of a rush for the bargains. Tableware, decorative items, small furniture: everything is being sold off until there’s nothing left. While no official closing date has been confirmed, the axe is expected to fall around June 20.
Last days to grab great deals
Behind this wave of closures, there are mainly 644 employees in France waiting. In Toulouse, like everywhere else, uncertainty is total. Two potential buyers: Casa Ideas and Kraft are in the running to save a small part of the stores. Only ten shops and forty employees might be kept. The verdict is expected on June 11, during a hearing at the commercial court in Bobigny.
