The future line C of the Toulouse metro is getting stronger with 94 new facilities!

The future line C of the Toulouse metro is gearing up for something big: by 2028, it will feature no less than 90 escalators and 4 moving walkways to serve 21 stations, in a monumental project that combines comfort and efficiency.

With its 27 km route connecting Colomiers to Labège, Line C is one of the most ambitious transport projects in Toulouse. And to ensure that the 200,000 daily passengers can travel effortlessly, KONE has been chosen to equip the stations with 94 brand new devices: escalators, moving walkways, customized design… Nothing has been left to chance!

Comfort tailored for high traffic

Among the 90 escalators, 80 will be TransitMaster™ 120 models, known for their eco-efficiency. Ten others, which are more robust (model 140), will be installed in high-traffic areas. The TransitMaster™ 165 moving walkways will make it easy to connect to transfers, even if you are carrying bags or suitcases.

Goal 2028

The construction will start in 2026 and will involve about twenty technicians. Eventually, the automated line will serve Airbus, the university, and five SNCF stations, enhancing accessibility throughout the entire western area of Toulouse.
