Once you arrive in Auzat, continue south until you reach the place called l'Artigue. A large parking lot is available near the Soulcem hydroelectric plant. From there, a small trail starts along the road, guiding you to the Pinet refuge and the peak of Montcalm.
An accessible and enchanted stroll
With a positive elevation gain of 182 meters and a round trip distance of just over 3 kilometers, the hike to the Artigue waterfall is classified as easy. The well-marked trail winds through a lush valley, following the course of the Artigue amidst hazelnut trees and birches. The shaded and refreshing walk offers an ideal setting for a day outdoors.

After a pleasant walk through the woods, a final, slightly steep descent will quickly lead you to the waterfall. The small waterfall, a few meters high, feeds a sublime turquoise pool, ideal for a revitalizing swim.
A breathtaking panorama
Don't stop at the first sight of the waterfall. Continue on your way by climbing to a promontory overlooking the pool. From there, you can admire a stunning panorama: on one side, the valley you just walked up, on the other, the flow of the Estats stream, with its successive waterfalls cascading into the Artigue.
