It’s not just us saying this, it’s The Times: Olargues is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Nestled on a rocky plateau in the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut-Languedoc, this little gem of Occitanie looks like it’s straight out of a movie: a historic bell tower proudly overlooking the rooftops, a medieval bridge, cobblestone streets filled with stories, and a view that’s worth the trip. You could almost forget about time when you visit.

A Village Where the Devil Left His Mark

You can't visit Olargues without checking out its iconic Devil's Bridge, built in the 12th century. Designated as a Historic Monument since 1916, it's tied to a local legend that says the bridge was constructed with a little help from the Devil himself… A legend we love just as much as we love to hate it!
