The Editor

The iconic Saint-Joseph chapel in La Grave reopened its doors in 2022 after several years of renovation, and to further enhance this gem of the left bank, a large landscaping project is underway. The future garden promises to be a true invitation to relaxation and discovery. In addition to green spaces, the new garden will showcase thoughtfully designed themes: squares of vines and rows of lavender, whose colors will remind visitors of the blue hues of the Dome. The goal? To create a harmonious space that blends nature and heritage.

A peaceful haven expected to be completed in the coming weeks

The square in front of the monument will take on a whole new look with the creation of a hedge garden, offering a stunning view from an observation deck. It will also be a chance to discover a grand Paulownia tree, an Asian tree, and a row of linden trees that will complete the scenery. Lovers of tranquility will be able to relax in the small shaded square.

surrounded by magnolias, at the intersection of Rue du Pont Saint-Pierre and the new building.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this garden will offer a new walkway, stretching from Pont Saint-Pierre to Jardin Raymond-VI, promoting a more relaxed flow of traffic, as the CHU (Cité de la Santé) has moved its main access to Rue Réclusane to reduce car traffic. This project is a true green lung that will enhance the vitality of this iconic neighborhood in Toulouse, while providing a space of tranquility and beauty for both locals and tourists. So, just a few more months to wait to enjoy this wonderful transformation!
