"On October 25, 26, and 27, our Metropolis will be the stage for a new chapter in the adventures of Astérion, who will have to triumph over Lilith, the Guardian of Darkness!" cheered Jean-Luc Moudenc, the Mayor of Toulouse, on his X account (formerly Twitter). This event is a testament to the enthusiasm and importance of this urban opera for the city and its inhabitants.

Lilith, the daunting Guardian of Darkness

A symbol of fear lurking in the shadows, Lilith represents the challenge Astérion must face in this epic battle of light against darkness.

When strolling around, we encounter the traces of her presence: whispers of wind, chilling shivers down the spine...
Wait until you stumble upon Lilith. The Guardian of Shadows is one amazing creation that brings a whole new level to this incredible show. Made in 2024 for the Hellfest metal festival, Lilith is a stunning scorpion lady, made from wood, metal, and leather. With eight legs that move like a crab and spider combo, Lilith can breathe fire, water, and smoke, and give a mean bite. Standing between eight and eleven meters tall, stretching fourteen meters in length, and reaching three to ten meters wide, she weighs a massive 38 tons.

Lilith is described as a creature tasked by Hades to control the passage between our world and the underworld, wandering from city to city in search of damned souls. Her presence in Toulouse promises to add a touch of mystery and drama to the spectacle.
