Unless the Occitanie Region decides to make a big splash with its weekends at €1, which are back again this year! Every first weekend of the month, from February to December (excluding July and August), the liO trains offer tickets at a symbolic price on certain regional lines. The goal is simple: to let everyone (re)discover the treasures of the region, guilt-free and without breaking the bank. It's an initiative that smells of spontaneous adventures and last-minute packed bags!
Charming villages, medieval cities, and the sea just a train ride away
Thanks to this program, Occitanie becomes a huge playground that’s easy to access. You get to explore the cobblestone streets of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, the stones of ...Surrounded by the rolling hills near Conques, the picturesque views around Sarlat-la-Canéda, or even a refreshing getaway to Le Grau-du-Roi to breathe in the sea air. But be careful: tickets are only on sale ten days before each weekend and quantities are limited. So, it’s important to be quick and keep an eye on the openings like milk boiling on the stove!

How to take advantage of it?
Tickets for just 1€ are available through SNCF Connect, authorized SNCF Voyageurs agencies, ticket counters for the relevant lines, or directly on the platforms of Train liO Occitanie. Five lines are eligible for the offer, including Nîmes - Le Grau-du-Roi, Béziers - Bédarieux, and Perpignan - Villefranche-Vernet-les-Bains. Keep in mind the travel dates scattered throughout the year, from February to December. Whether you love heritage, nature, or gourmet weekends, this is a fantastic opportunity to travel wisely.
