In the charming town of Villemur-sur-Tarn, about 40 minutes from Toulouse, a duo is swinging the taste buds with the grace of a heartfelt jazz piece. L’Alto – it doesn’t just happen by chance – is the gourmet restaurant of the stunning Château de la Garrigue, a place as refined as it is surprising, with pink stones, majestic arches, and perfectly styled decor. But here, the real show takes place in the kitchen.

A gastronomic composition without a single false note

At the helm, two complementary chefs: Mourad Ouabdeslam and Sylvain Delbreil who combine their talents like a four-handed symphony. Mourad is the architect of contemporary flavors, the creative spirit who chisels each plate with precision and daring. Sylvain, on the other hand, draws from the roots of the Southwest, offering a disarming sincerity of taste that sings the truth of local produce. Together, they create a sensitive and vibrant culinary score, rhythmically guided by the seasons and the discoveries of local producers.

An unbeatable gourmet menu for the quality-price ratio

Their playground? A refined and inspired menu, enhanced by the presence of Bernard Bach, a double Michelin-starred chef, who brings his high standards and expertise to L’Alto as a consultant. The result: a restaurant that checks all the boxes of an exceptional dining experience, without ever veering into pretentiousness.

And the good news is that this gem remains accessible! From Tuesday to Friday lunchtime, L'Alto offers a gastronomic menu "As the Seasons Go By" which includes an appetizer, main course, and dessert for just 35 € (that's lunch from Tuesday to Friday, and 45€ on Saturday lunch and Thursday to Saturday evenings), an almost indecent value for the experience you get. Starting May 18th, the place will also be open on Sunday lunchtimes, inviting food lovers to enjoy the most generous and poetic sides of gastronomy with family or friends. In short, a beautiful escape for seasoned foodies.
