The Art of Handpoke Tattooing at the Heart of Toulouse
Handpoke, its specialty, is an artisanal technique where each dot is done by hand, without a machine. It's less painful and promotes quicker healing, allowing for a more intimate connection with the skin and adapting well to complex areas like fingers or ears. In fact, Ehide has established itself as a reference in ear tattooing, exploring subtle designs that perfectly nestle into the contours of the cartilage.
So why the name « Mauvaise Main ? This pseudonym comes from the very beginning, when they tattooed poems written with their left hand, their 'bad' hand, giving a shaky, childlike style to their lettering. Even though their style has evolved, the name has stayed, as a tribute to those early artistic experiments. And Éhïde makes it a point to tattoo all types of skin and body shapes because "a true tattoo artist must be able to adapt to all differences while maintaining quality work,” as they explain.
