Who said that love only speaks one language? Tinder now wants to allow its users to meet people by drawing on their regional heritage. No more stereotypical messages and hello to poems, jokes, and flirts in Alsatian. It is an additional language that is added to the already long list of 133 languages available on the application. Encounters with regional accents Tinder has taken on a new challenge: to make exchanges even more exciting! In addition to Alsatian, six other new regional dialects have been added to the application: Creole, West Flemish, Lorrain, Picard, Walloon, and Norman. The world's most downloaded dating app aims to showcase linguistic diversity.

On Tinder, we don't just speak the language of love, we live it in all its regional nuances. The app aims to showcase the linguistic richness of France. By adding a descriptor of a regional language to their profile, users can now demonstrate their attachment to their region and make their exchanges even more authentic.

For the love of dialect

The app continues to revolutionize the way young adults connect and build relationships across the world. By adding these new languages, it aims to allow everyone to express themselves authentically, making conversations as delightful as an Alsatian sauerkraut. After all, who said you can't flirt in Alsatian?
