Since the beginning of July, a sweet start-up has been making waves in Strasbourg with a concept that's as surprising as it is delicious: homemade cakes served in metal cans. What's the name? SweetCan. What's the idea? 100% homemade, 100% local, and a good dose of boldness. Gone are the gloomy plastic boxes for cake slices: here, the can becomes the new temple of dessert. And spoiler alert: it’s a hit.

Behind this delightful project are Marion, 32, a graphic designer with a keen eye for design, and Ahmed, a trained chef and a true connoisseur of good things. Together, as a couple both in the kitchen and life, they fell in love with this concept straight from Japan, where canned desserts are all the rage. Their twist? Going all-in on homemade, seasonal fruits, and local sourcing. The result: a dessert that's a feast for the eyes and a treat for the taste buds.

Seasonal flavors and a taste of craftsmanship

At SweetCan, you won't find strawberries in winter or mangoes from the other side of the world. Each recipe dances to the rhythm of the seasons. Fresh strawberries or homemade jam, tiramisu, melting chocolate, or speculoos... the menu evolves with the harvests. And for the most indulgent, new recipes are always on the horizon!

are already in preparation. The idea? Treating ourselves without betraying the planet.
