Alright, let's get back to the basics: do you know what a bouillon is? (Don't confuse it with the bouchons of our Lyon friends.) A bouillon is a type of restaurant that offers traditional French cuisine. The original concept? To provide good-quality dishes at affordable prices. The first bouillons appeared in Paris in 1854, thanks to a butcher named Adolphe-Baptiste Duval, who wanted to serve workers delicious broths made from cuts of meat simmered all night long.

"Simply Good": the motto of the bouillon

For Le Petit Bouillon Pharamond, the story begins in 1832. The Pharamond family, originally from Normandy, settled in Paris, where they introduced the famous tripe à la mode de Caen. Slowly but surely, they grew in the Halles district with a restaurant called "À la Petite Normande." This is how the incredible adventure of this family started, and they are now legendary in the world of bouillons. And today, they are giving us a wonderful gift by opening their first bouillon in Strasbourg ! Located at 8 rue des Francs-Bourgeois, on the site of the former restaurant "L’Alsace à Table," this bouillon promises authentic and absolutely delicious cuisine at unbeatable prices.

A restaurant on two floors, 180 seats

But what do we eat at Pharamond? For starters, you can enjoy hard-boiled eggs, vinaigrette leeks, snails, or even a country terrine. The main dishes are just as tempting: sea bream, beef bourguignon, beef tartare, endive gratin, and of course, the iconic tripe à la mode de Caen. A true ode to French gastronomy! And the prices for all this? Dishes start at €2.50 for appetizers and go up to €13.90 for the most expensive dish! One could almost shed a tear at how unreal this seems!

Le Petit Bouillon Pharamond opens its doors starting today, Friday, January 24, 2025. So, no more hesitation: you now know where to go for a meal this weekend!
