Let's go back a few years to 2023. The Cémoi factory in Molsheim is in the spotlight. And there, Steve Risch, the CEO of Fortwenger, arrives and purchases the site, deciding to turn it into a unique place in Alsace. We're talking about an area of 8,000 m² on 3 hectares, where they still make hollow chocolate figures by hand, using traditional methods.

The future site will look like this: there will be an immersive journey to understand how chocolate is born, from the bean to the hand-painted mold. As a bonus, there will be a chocolate school, fun workshops, a shop full of sweet treats, and a cozy tea room where you can sit back and enjoy.

Immersive visit, chocolate school, and tea room

This isn’t the first time Fortwenger delights us with places to visit. The Palais du Pain d’Épices in Gertwiller is a hit (53,000 visitors in 2023), and the Hansi Museum in Colmar also attracts curious visitors. Let’s just say the brand knows how to blend heritage, tradition, and indulgence! Besides making everyone’s mouths water, this new location will also boost the region. Ten jobs are expected to be created in Molsheim: baristas, hœ ಕ್ಷ;welcome testers, sellers… A lovely way to give new life to a historic site while showcasing the chocolate-making expertise of Alsace.
