A survey revealed that more than two-thirds of the French population (68%) agrees that the stereotype of French rudeness is not just a myth. They admit that incivility is unfortunately common in their daily lives. When asked about the reasons behind this stereotype, nearly a third of respondents pointed to the use of colorful language by the French, which might contribute to this reputation. It seems that swear words and bold expressions could be shaping the image of a population that is not always known for their manners.
