Alright, let’s dive right into the Rosheim Carnival, which will whisk you away to Venice, Italy! On March 1st and 2nd, 2025, Rosheim will transform into a little Venice with an amazing program (just like always): on Saturday starting at 2 PM, you'll see people in stunning costumes parading through the streets, plus there will be a Venetian and Italian market until...At 8 PM. At 5 PM, a Venetian concert will set the mood for the presentation of the costumes with sound and light at 7 PM on the steps of the Saints Pierre-et-Paul church. On Sunday, entry is free: from 10 AM, the costumed characters will be out and about, accompanied by the markets until 6 PM, with another presentation at 3:30 PM. In short, a magical weekend awaits you to transport you straight to Venice without leaving Alsace, and that's why we love this carnival so much! More info about the Rosheim Carnival
The historical highlight: The Mulhouse Carnival

Now let’s move on to the Mulhouse carnival! This year, the city is celebrating the 800th anniversary of its city walls (one more reason not to miss it) with an epic carnival from March 5th to 9th, 2025. The festivities will kick off with Children's Day on March 5th (featuring face painting, costume contests, and parades). On March 6th, La Filature will host the carnival with an evening dedicated to middle schoolers and local associations. March 7th will bring the arrival of the Prince by boat, followed by a lively parade and a spectacular fire show! And during the weekend, there will be music festivals, colorful parades, and a grand international cavalcade buzzing throughout the city center. The evenings will continue under the marquee at Place de la Réunion with concerts and various activities, keeping the celebration of 800 years going strong!

The colorful bonus: The Colmar carnival

As every year, on March 22 and 23, 2025, Colmar comes alive for its annual carnival, and to say the program is exciting is an understatement! On Saturday, March 22 at 2:30 PM, the kids take over the streets with a dedicated parade starting from Rue Vauban and ending at the Ladhof gymnasium. On Sunday, March 23 at 2:30 PM, it's time for the grand parade featuring beautifully decorated floats, lively brass bands, and cheerleaders, starting at Place du Saumon and making its way through the city center. In short, it's a fantastic carnival you absolutely cannot miss!

And of course, how could I not tell you that the most stylish carnival is none other than ours, hehe! As usual, Strasbourg invites you to its grand parade. Starting at 3 PM, the procession kicks off from the Route de Vienne, crossing the Place d'Austerlitz and the Quai des Bateliers, and finishing beautifully at Place Kléber. This year’s theme? "Animal Tales", so get ready with your fabulous costume, because the parade is bound to be unforgettable! New for 2025: the Carnival Village is setting up at Place Gutenberg all weekend, offering creative workshops, face painting, and fun activities—sounds great, right?
