Forced Closure Until Further Notice
According to the city, there has been a significant incident with the filtration systems. As a result: closure for an indefinite period, although early August is mentioned as a possible time for a return to normalcy. But don’t worry, Strasbourg isn’t (yet) a water desert: seven other swimming pools are still open in the Eurométropole, from Robertsau to Ostwald, not forgetting Kibitzenau or Lingolsheim. Unless, of course, there are incivilities… because yes, disruptors can sometimes be more troublesome than technical glitches.
The Wacken, on the other hand, is like a shape-shifting pool: a summer delight under the sun, and then a Nordic pool in winter with its heated outdoor basins. This transformation took place in Strasbourg, thanks to a renovation between 2011 and 2012.
