In Strasbourg, when real estate meets visual poetry, it creates ARTMUR: a unique artistic patronage project led by the Vivialys Group. Since 2020, this major housing player in Alsace has been on a mission to transform a plain office wall into a playground for emerging artists. Far from the cozy galleries, here art is displayed outdoors, on 224 m² of stretched canvas, right in the heart of the city on Rue de Molsheim. And this year, it's Noémie Chust, a young graduate from HEAR, who has been chosen to bring this remarkable façade to life.

Art Takes Over Urban Buildings
Its creation, The Footbridge, invites us to slow down, to reconnect, to see things differently. Inspired by surrealism and the technique of exquisite corpse, this monumental work unveils a chimeric creature, half-dream, half-reflection, embodying a transition between chaos and serenity. A gentle symbol to illustrate the republican motto “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity,” chosen this year as the central theme by the jury. Here, no hastily waved slogans: the intention is clear, to breathe new life into these words that are often overused, giving them a free, personal, and poetic interpretation.

With 31 projects submitted, 16 shortlisted, and only 4 finalists, the competition was tough. But Noémie Chust captivated everyone with her sensitive and committed vision. Her work fits perfectly with Vivialys' ambition: to make art a bridge between people, between the built environment and emotions, between imagination and reality. A façade that invites us to see, to think, and, most importantly, to feel.
