In 2026, the professional meal is no longer just a break between two meetings; it’s a strategic moment where we pay as much attention to the content of the plate as to the atmosphere around the table. It’s no surprise that research on “business restaurants” has literally exploded in recent months. Professionals are looking for beautiful, delicious, and memorable experiences (and preferably without paper tablecloths). To clarify things, SIXT business took a closer look by analyzing hundreds of addresses all over France. Customer reviews, ambiance, menu prices, location, popularity… nothing was left to chance in identifying the restaurants that can turn a simple lunch into a memorable moment. The result: 47 establishments stand out, including two gems right from our area in Strasbourg.

Au Crocodile, the art of hosting with flair

We no longer need to introduce Au Crocodile!;">, a true Strasbourg institution founded in 1840 (yep, almost two centuries ago). Ranked as the 11th most impressive restaurant in France, this establishment checks all the boxes for a high-impact lunch. The refined decor commands respect, the service is precise, and the menu, priced at 169€, makes its intentions clear. But what really strikes a chord at the table is the story of the place. It’s about a soldier from Napoleon’s army who returned from Egypt with a stuffed crocodile under his arm (we’ve seen worse icebreakers). Gradually, the animal became the restaurant’s emblem, and the rest is history. With a rating of 9.5, Au Crocodile charms both gourmet enthusiasts and heritage lovers alike.

The 1741, where the view and the plate are equally amazing

A little further on, The 1741 boasts a very coveted spot: the 15th most impressive restaurant in France, and above all, the highest rating in the rankings with a 9.8. Here, the magic happens from the moment you arrive. Facing the Palais Rohan, the decor is simply spectacular, almost cinematic. On the plate, the promise is kept with a Michelin-starred cuisine that is precise, elegant, and never ostentatious. Just a few minutes from the city center, this spot is perfect for a professional lunch that wants to make a lasting impression, while leaving behind a sense of seriousness, taste, and finesse. In other words: it’s a total success!
