This Saturday, November 1st, most shops in downtown Strasbourg will exceptionally open their doors! Shopping centers, boutiques, and local stores are joining in for the “Day of Solidarity,” as called for by the association Les Vitrines de Strasbourg. It’s a “strategic” date, as they highlight, since on the other side of the Rhine, German shops will remain closed for a public holiday. From Place des Halles to Rivetoile, including Aubette, the doors will be wide open to welcome both locals and visitors. The shops hope to take advantage of the curious crowds coming to shop before winter.

Enhanced trams, free parking, and a lively downtown atmosphere

On the practical side, the CTS plans to strengthen lines A, C, D, E, and F, as well as buses to Kehl. Between 2 PM and 6 PM, the Trams will run approximately every ten minutes, so you can avoid waiting in the autumn breeze. Tram D, on the other hand, will run every twelve minutes between Poteries and Kehl Rathaus, from 12 PM to 7 PM.

And for those who dread the hassle of parking, good news: relay parking will remain free when presenting a purchase receipt of at least 20€ from a store, restaurant, or cultural venue in the city center. Vouchers will be available at the main points of the .downtown (Place des Halles, Rivetoile, Galeries Lafayette, Tourist Office). It's the perfect opportunity to turn this All Saints' Day into a stress-free shopping day, without any worries about parking meters.
