Ten years. That's how long the Burger King adventure at Strasbourg train station lasted. Opened in December 2015, the 500m² establishment officially closed its doors in early February, leaving travelers on the hunt for a burger between high-speed trains facing a big closed door. What a vibe! With the concession contract binding the brand to SNCF Gares & Connexions Grand Est coming to an end in mid-March, it was time for a new chapter to be written in this strategic space.

And this new chapter looks really tasty (in the literal sense). According to information from Actu Strasbourg, it's Quick that is gearing up to take over the keys to the location. The Lagardère group, which operated Burger King through its subsidiary R&B, has lost the franchise to the brand with the bright yellow and red neon lights.

Quick is back!

If you're wondering whether Quick is still a brand that matters in France, the answer is yes: and it's actually gaining more momentum! Since 2022, the chain has been making quite a serious push for development in the country: around thirty restaurants are set to open in 2024, a similar pace expected for this year, and an ambitious goal of 300 establishments by 2028 (compared to just over 180 today).

For Strasbourg, the o...The opening is set for late March 2026. This will be the very first Quick in the city, which, in a place that has seen its yellow signs gobbled up one by one by the competition in recent years, adds a special flavor to the occasion. Quick had lost everything in Strasbourg, but it's making a grand comeback, right through the train station, to be exact!
