Recently, the area around the Strasbourg train station has been changing its face at lightning speed. The latest big news is from the Berlin hotel group Meininger, which will be setting up a huge hotel covering 4,000 m² right across from the station, in place of the old Europcar building.
The opening is set for early 2027, and what awaits future guests is a concept that sits halfway between the comfort of a classic hotel and the friendly vibe of a youth hostel. There will be double rooms, family rooms, shared dormitories, a communal kitchen with open access, and even a play area. In short, everything you need for solo travelers, adventurous families, and groups of friends looking to explore Strasbourg to connect and enjoy.
7 floors, 349 guests, and a garden out back
This Meininger Hotel will feature 114 rooms spread across 7 floors, with a capacity to welcome 349 guests. On the ground floor, you'll find the common areas, a reception, a dining zone, and a lovely little garden tucked away at the back of the building. Supported by Crédit Agricole Alsace Vosges and the Banque...and the Territories through their real estate company, this project will reinvigorate the neighborhood. See you in early 2027 to discover all of this!
