In reality, it will keep its usual appearance, with a subtle powdery tint for those who are paying close attention, but it’s still subtle, so don’t get too worked up!

So why do they call it the "pink moon"?

The name simply comes from a flower: the pink phlox, which blooms in North America during this time. Well, it's certainly much nicer to say "pink full moon" than "phlox full moon," and it's also a poetic way to mark the arrival of spring.
