It's here! Imposing, majestic, and like every year, watched by hundreds of curious onlookers: the great Christmas tree of Strasbourg has taken its place in Place Kléber this weekend. Standing around thirty meters tall (not kidding!), the tree comes from the Vosges forests, carefully chosen by the ONF teams to meet very specific criteria: beauty, symmetry, and most importantly, sturdiness.

The start of the Christmas festivities in Strasbourg
The installation of the Christmas tree marks the unofficial kickoff of the Strasbourg Christmas Market 2025, which will open its stalls by the end of November. The dazzling lights, the artisan cabins, the aromas of mulled wine and gingerbread will soon transform the city into a true winter wonderland. Once again this year, the Alsatian capital promises an authentic and magical market, spread across several iconic squares: Broglie, Cathedral, Gutenberg, not to mention Place Kléber, the beating heart of the festivities.
