A Liquidation with No Return
The announcement came on June 11, 2025: Casa France is entering judicial liquidation, due to a lack of buyers. The commercial court of Bobigny is set to confirm this decision on June 27. As a result of this process, nearly 700 employees will lose their jobs, and the 143 French stores of the brand will close their doors permanently.
Founded in 1975, Casa was long a familiar name in the European furniture retail scene, offering affordable decoration and garden products. However, the bankruptcy of its parent company in Belgium last March, weakened by the slowdown in the real estate market and the rise of e-commerce, dealt a fatal blow to the organization.
