The Editor

What if we made reading more accessible to everyone? That’s the slightly crazy challenge that the Nuits de la Lecture embarked on 9 years ago when they were created. Since then, they have included 4 days and 4 nights each year celebrating the unconditional love of reading, with a specific theme for each edition. This year, we have a wonderfully diverse theme coming up: heritage. It’s a concept that is both intimate and collective, touching on ideas of transmission, legacy, and reinterpretation.

A gigantic event

With just days to go before the festivities kick off, more than 7,000 physical and online events are already lined up in over 3,000 libraries, bookstores, museums, monuments, and schools... All across France, from Paris to Corsica, including Brittany, plus international locations and online. It’s a vibrant mix!

, programming is for everyone : historical readers or more poetic ones, letter lovers, young and old alike, in short, everyone.
