Run by Nicolas Di Pol Moro, who is also at the helm of the famous Bistrot Coco, Bastardo is a restaurant located in the heart of Strasbourg facing the Place des Tripiers. On the menu, you'll find dishes made from authentic products imported from Italy. The idea is to reinvent classic Italian cuisine in a tasty and sophisticated way.
«I create dishes and cocktails imagining that I am an Italian opening a small bistro in Italy, shares Nicolas Di Pol Moro, striving to offer refined dishes that, by proposing sometimes unique combinations, introduce new flavors to customers.

So, the menu offers pasta, antipasti and other meats and fish to enjoy in this Italian bistro atmosphere or on the terrace. The decoration of the establishment is intentionally mismatched but harmonious, with mismatched furniture and tableware for a baroque and bohemian ambiance. And it feels good here!

Nicolas Di Pol Moro was the one behind all the decoration, rolling up his sleeves and getting involved. He was so committed that he even created some of the tags you see in the stairwell leading to the toilets. And of course, he's the one crafting the dishes that appear on the menu and change every three weeks.
It's no wonder Bastardo is a gem that perfectly blends all these worlds, each one expertly mastered, while offering an elegant and gourmet menu. It's like getting the cheapest plane ticket to Italy. It's not easy to come across an Italian bistro in Strasbourg that's just as high-quality.
