The Editor

During a stroll through the charming streets of Strasbourg, there is nothing better than a little gourmet break in one of the superb addresses in the city center. And among them, today we are talking about Wunder Baker, a delicious pastry shop opened in mid-2021 by a family (mother Cathy and son Jacques-Alexandre) trained at the famous Paul Bocuse Institute in Lyon. Located at 23 rue des Juifs, the address is in direct proximity to the cathedral.

Inside this wonderland, you will find tons of pastries that will make your mouth water. On the menu: sweet/savory pretzels in crunchy or classic versions, mauricettes, filled donuts with raspberry, chocolate, praline, or apple filling, but also the unmissable wunders, a gem between a pretzel and a croissant, especially filled with real pistachio.

Patisserie but also quality bakery

And the feast doesn't stop there: besides being a superb bakery, Wunder Baker also offers all the classics of patisserie: apple turnovers, raisin bread, raspberry or chocolate puff pastries, and even a formidable crunchy pistachio tart (pistachio cream, pistachio paste, hazelnut praline with fleur de sel).

An address between tradition and discovery that has plenty to delight those who are passionate about sweets in Strasbourg. And everyone else too.
