Born in 2017, the Café Joyeux has one mission: to give people with mental and cognitive disabilities a chance to integrate into the workforce. In France, individuals with autism spectrum disorders or Down syndrome are two to three times more affected by unemployment than the general population. Café Joyeux is committed to changing this reality by training and employing 195 joyful team members, now spread across 26 cafes and restaurants in France and internationally. With cafes decorated by Sarah Poniatowski (hence the lovely yellow we all adore) and a menu crafted with the help of chef Thierry Marx, Café Joyeux embodies strong values: the BEAUTIFUL, the GOOD, and the TRUE.
Café Joyeux is present in 14 cities across France
