For five wonderful years, Place Saint-Thomas has become the vibrant heart of Strasbourg jazz. For one weekend, the cobblestones resonate with the sounds of boundary-free music, brought to life by artists from all over the world. And it's no coincidence that over half of the programmed artists are women. This thoughtfully made choice puts Jazz à la Petite France well above the national average. To represent this exciting shift, names like Nicole Johänntegen 4TET, Sarah Lenka, and the duo Mamie Jotax will add their special touch.

Strasbourg, the capital of free jazz

Over these three days, Strasbourg is going to ignite with excitement. On Friday, it's the Midva Lofi Ensemble that will kick off the festivities, with their dreamy lo-fi jazz led by Nils Boyny. On Saturday, we'll have the Maë Defays Trio, with a sublime soul voice rooted in Afro-Caribbean vibes, followed by Sonic Interventions, a wonderfully poetic Berlin collective. And on Sunday? It’s the local scene taking the stage!

Exciting Jams to Energize the Crowd

Every night, after the concerts, it's time for pure freedom : two thrilling jams led by Ingrid Laventure and Louise Wetterwald. These suspended moments, filled with total improvisation and collective magic, bring jazz back to its true essence: the spirit of connection. Even with budget cuts, the festival stands strong. The entry is donation-based, but recommended prices are : 5€ per concert, 15€ for the day, and 50€ for the three days. This way, everyone can enjoy while ensuring fair compensation for the artists.
