In Strasbourg, summer kicks off with the rhythm of beer taps. From June 27 to 29. The Citadel Lighthouse is transforming into a hop temple to host the fifth edition of the Beer Expo. But be careful, this is far from your usual boring tasting fair: the 2025 vintage promises to be brewed with delightful madness, blending tradition with completely wacky new creations. With 25 local breweries ready to showcase their best creations, the atmosphere is sure to be as bubbly as the foams being served.

This year, the organizers are bringing forth fresh ideas like bottles from the fridge. For the first time, a women-led beer workshop will shake things up a bit, challenging the stereotypes of bearded men in aprons. And for those with a curious palate, there will also be conferences, food-pairing workshops like “comté & IPA forever,” a game corner hosted by the playful folks at Baraka Jeux, and let’s not forget a screening of the documentary From Grain to Glass for those true malt enthusiasts. All of this will be accompanied by a well-curated soundtrack, with DJ sets and a chill vibe under the fairy lights.
A 5th edition full of new experiences
But the Expo doesn’t stop there. To help digest your charcuterie board or gin and tonic (yes, there’s gin and cider too, we’re not picky), you can hop on your bike for a Sunday morning “gravel ride.”
e in Omnino Café: departure from the city center and arrival at the snack bar, just like a big loop of fun. And for the toughest among us, join us Saturday from 6 PM to midnight for a sporty arm-wrestling competition. The kind of challenge that makes both pints and biceps flex.Voir cette publication sur InstagramUne publication partagée par FESTIVAL DE LA BIÈRE À STRASBOURG ❤️🍺 (@expobiere_strasbourg)
In short, whether you're a hop lover, a good food enthusiast, an urban cyclist, or just here to enjoy a beer in great company, the Beer Expo 2025 has something for everyone. Cheers!
