Opened at the beginning of summer, Le Semis has taken the place of Krüt'herbes in the Krutenau neighborhood and is the first flower café in Strasbourg!
The idea was born like many others: during a night of solving the world's problems over a drink. Two years after that famous night, Hélène and Charlène warmly welcome us to their café! With its lovely terrace and flower-filled space, the atmosphere is pleasant and green.
Here you can have a coffee, snack, and leave with a beautiful bouquet of fresh or dried flowers!
The two friends have chosen to open this establishment by focusing on their passions: good food and drinks and beautiful flowers and bouquets.
Local, local and more local
Here, everything you find is local. Le Semis works with local producers from Alsace. The fruits, vegetables, and cheeses come from the small market in Alsace, coffee from Café Balzac in Neuhof, and breads and pastries from Boulangerie Wunschel.
You can enjoy a breakfast with a coffee or tea accompanied by a pastry for 3.50 euros. For lunch, composed salads or savory tarts gluten-free are offered for 8.50 euros.
Flowers are also a highlight! Here you will never find roses for Valentine's Day, only seasonal flowers and mostly local for a more responsible consumption. You can also find crafts by Strasbourg artisans like candles from Chat in the Wardrobe or the creations of Dame Clown. Helene and Charlene will also soon be offering exhibitions of local artists.

Brunches
On Saturdays, you can brunch at Semis. There are two options: the gourmet for those who like sweet and savory dishes, and the semi-gourmet for the sweet tooth!
Workshops
Since September, different workshops have been offered on Tuesdays at 6pm. In the florist space, you can learn to create flower crowns or bell jars filled with dried flowers!
For Valentine's Day, Charlène and Hélène are offering a workshop to create your own floral arrangement on Tuesday, February 11th from 6pm to 7:30pm!
