As spring has gently settled in France and the May bridges are just around the corner, we are all on the hunt for the ideal spot to drop our bags for a weekend, a week, or even a bit longer if the heart desires. At Bonbon, we’re always on the lookout for great deals, and this time, we’re taking you to explore the Côtes d’Armor . What’s on the agenda? 350 km of wild coastline, pink cliffs straight out of a fairy tale, a gastronomy that makes you weep with joy, and medieval villages that feel like time travel. Here are five reasons to set down your luggage in 22 — and never want to leave.

Breathtaking landscapes

First and foremost, it’s impossible to talk about the Côtes d’Armor without mentioning nature. Here, you don’t have to choose between the sea and the forest, the...

Two merge in a breathtaking ballet. From Perros-Guirec to Cap-Fréhel, from high and majestic cliffs to deep and mysterious lakes, a wealth of rich and varied landscapes awaits you, ready to meet all your desires. The archipelago of the Seven Islands will delight birdwatchers, the granite chaos of the Toul Goulicet Gorges will elevate your spirit, and we’d like to warn you, once you’ve experienced the beauty of a sunset over Fort-la-Latte, life may feel a little less flavorful. You will find unique viewpoints, where wild nature is adorned with spectacular monuments, such as the Abbey of Beauport or the Château de la Hunaudaye.

An Unmatched Gastronomy

A few months ago, Brittany was voted the favorite region of tourists for its gastronomy. This is a distinction worth celebrating, especially because of one particular reason: butter (and all the delicious things it allows us to create, starting with galettes and kouign-amann). But the Côtes d'Armor offers you one more delightful reason: fresh, local oysters that you can enjoy to your heart's content, no reservations needed and without breaking the bank. Indeed, the bay of Saint-Brieuc is one of the top oyster farming areas in France, where you can buy delicious shellfish directly from the producers. At the port of Binic or along the coasts of Paimpol, enjoy them with a little glass of white wine and some delicious scallops, just so you don't miss out on anything!

A guaranteed escape, without leaving France

For those who dream of magical travels to the other side of the world, we have great news: there's no need to take an 11-hour flight to break the routine and discover something new. If the Pink Granite Coast has absolutely nothing to envy from Corsica, then Lake Guerlédan and the Kerne Uhel pond will make you feel like you’re experiencing a journey across the Atlantic to the Canadian Great Lakes. With its 200 granite giants representing the great Breton leaders, the valley of the Saints offers a one-way ticket to Easter Island. Lastly, it's impossible to talk about the wonders of Côtes-d'Armor without mentioning the medieval town of Dinan, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the region, which takes you on a journey through the ages. Walking up Jerzual Street feels like stepping back in time, just waiting to reveal its charming secrets.craftsmen's workshops, their timber-framed houses and other treasures.

A wealth of activities

The good news is that all these treasures are accessible in countless ways. You can explore on foot, for example, by following the legendary Customs Path, or by bicycle (we especially recommend the Vélomaritime from Plouër-sur-Rance to Plestin-les-Grèves). To continue... ```In sports, we enjoy this water playground: sailing in Paimpol, surfing with a view of Cap Fréhel, or even kayaking in Bréhat, there’s something for everyone! And for those who swear by culture, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered: the Abbey of Bon Repos, the blooming wash houses of Pontrieux, or the Sound Discovery Center in Cavan, everyone is sure to find the activity that suits them, bringing joy to both young and old, and offering you unforgettable moments with family or friends.

An incredibly affordable getaway

As the cherry on top, not only do the Côtes d’Armor offer everything that Brittany does best to satisfy every desire, but they also do it in a way that suits every budget! With accommodations of all kinds and endless restaurants (some even let you enjoy the best local specialties right by the water), it's easy to find hidden gems at great prices, allowing you to keep a budget for activities and plenty of available visits. And since good news never comes alone, all these wonders are accessible by train, thanks to many TGV stations! So, what are you waiting for to book your next getaway?
