A ranking based on Google Maps reviews
To establish its top 10, Holidu relied on Google Maps ratings and reviews. Each beach had to have at least 100 reviews to qualify. And the result? A Breton tidal wave, with the top three spots occupied by beaches in Finistère, Morbihan, and the Crozon Peninsula. This proves that the Breton coast, with its wild coves and salty air, continues to inspire dreams.
Blancs Sablons Beach (Le Conquet, Finistère)
This beach takes the top spot with a stunning rating of 4.8/5. Blancs Sablons Beach, located on the Kermorvan Peninsula, captivates with its raw beauty. Endless golden sand, a wild atmosphere, and ocean views stretching to infinity… this corner of the world is a peaceful haven for nature lovers and sunset chasers (spoiler: they are spectacular).

Pen Hat Beach (Crozon Peninsula)
In second place, head to the Crozon Peninsula for almost cinematic scenery. With its impressive cliffs, powerful waves, and a slightly dramatic atmosphere, Pen Hat Beach is a dream spot for surfers and those who love to soak it all in. Less accessible and therefore less crowded, it charms the purists. A rougher yet truer Brittany.

Grands Sables Beach (Île de Groix)
In third place, head to the open sea. The Île de Groix, accessible by ferry from Lorient, is home to a rare gem, Grands Sables Beach, famous for its convex shape (it juts out into the sea), and the purity of its waters. Here, the sand is nearly white, the pine trees sway gently, and time seems to stand still. A truly enchanted getaway.

And what about the rest of France in all this?
No worries, the other regions still have their charms. Guadeloupe ranks 4th with Grande Anse, Normandy places Étretat in 5th, and the Mediterranean makes a debut with the Calanque de Port Pin (7th). But it's definitely the West that reigns supreme this year, with 7 out of 10 beaches from the Atlantic coast.
The call of the sea (and kouign-amann)
With breathtaking natural landscapes, the authenticity of the places, and a pleasantly manageable crowd, Brittany seems to answer the desires of vacationers in 2025: less bling, more real. So this summer, forget the palm trees, put on your rubber boots, pack a raincoat, and head toward the sea spray. Sometimes, paradise is just a drive away, in under three hours.
Moral of the story: you don't need to travel 8,000 km to touch happiness; Brittany is enough! Haha
