Names That Hurt
Palma de Mallorca, with its turquoise coves. Lisbon, with its cobblestones and trams. Madrid, alive late into the night. All those getaways that once whisked away in just a few hours from Rennes have vanished from the schedules. Other less flashy but equally sought-after destinations have met the same fate: Barcelona, London Heathrow, Porto, Edinburgh… The list is long. Too long!
A Fragile Offer
Today, only seven airlines serve Rennes, including Easyjet, Volotea, Air France, and Transavia. Options are now focused on a few domestic routes (Paris, Lyon, Nice) and some seasonal or occasional connections like Tirana or Larnaca. Of course, there's always the option of making connections through hubs in Paris-CDG or Amsterdam, but the charm of direct flights has simply evaporated.

In the backdrop, there are strategic choices, the competition from major airports like Nantes or Paris, and the upheavals in the aviation industry.
