While the rest of Brittany remains relatively spared, the department is facing a notable stormy deterioration this Friday afternoon and into the night. According to forecasters, the showers will sometimes be intense, accompanied by gusts of wind reaching up to 60 km/h, hail, and especially heavy rainfall.
Impressive local totals
Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, we expect 30 to 50 mm of rain, particularly between Romantic Brittany and the bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. In some areas like Couesnon or along coastal regions, totals could even reach up to 80 mm, the prefecture indicates. This phenomenon significantly increases the risk of runoff and local flooding.
At the same time, the department is also under a yellow alert for storms, a warning level that should not be underestimated.

Maximum caution recommended
In light of these deteriorating weather conditions, the authorities strongly advise limiting travel, especially during the night from Friday to Saturday. Drivers are urged to exercise the utmost caution: never venture onto a flooded road, even partially.
Good reflexes to adopt:
*Follow forecasts on meteofrance.com
*Check Bison Futé before any trip
*Avoid risky roads and adhere to detours
*Stay away from bodies of water
*Set up generators only outside
*Do not leave combustion heaters running continuously
A return to calm is expected on Saturday. In the meantime, it's better to stay dry and remain extra vigilant.
