A powerful story, a moving role
Directed by the Rennes filmmaker Elsa Blayau, the film tells the touching journey of a gay couple, Romain and Antoine, who have been fighting for years to adopt. Faced with a hesitant administration, they struggle to see their family dreams come true. That is until they meet Théo, an 8-year-old boy in state custody, who has been through a lot but is on a quest for love.
Théo is a silent, clever, ultra-sensitive child, marked by a difficult past. He has his little rituals, his quirks, and a special way of asking for affection. In short, he's a profound and heart-wrenching character that will require true emotional depth in the performance.
Shooting scheduled in Rennes and surrounding areas
The filming will take place between October 9 and November 6, 2025, in Rennes and its surroundings. No prior experience is required; what matters most is spontaneity, emotion, and the child's personality.
