It's going to be super duper hot in Rennes!
In the coming century, the Rennes metropolis, like the rest of the planet unfortunately, will experience a significant rise in temperature. The UN is announcing and warning of at least a 3° increase for every French city, and even up to 4°. This means Rennes could have an average of 35°C during the summer, but that's not all… Heat waves in Rennes are expected to reach an average of over 48°C according to the JDD.
According to Anne-Laure Gibelin, a researcher at Météo-France: "Our models show that starting in 2025, heat records will begin to rise by 2 or 3 degrees in certain regions. This warming progresses little by little. In the second half of the century, records are rising everywhere in France and dramatically in the East."
