For nearly a month, rides, treats, and fun activities will transform this vast space into a true festive village at the heart of winter.

A Rennes Ritual That Never Goes Out of Style

As the Christmas market at Mail François-Mitterrand prepares to sparkle to life, the winter fair steps in as another highlight of the season. Included in the "This Winter in Rennes" program created by the City and Rennes Métropole, it has established itself as an almost sacred tradition year after year. For many residents of Rennes, it's hard to imagine December without a ride on the Ferris wheel, a bright pink cotton candy, or an evening filled with thrilling amusement rides. It’s this unique blend of nostalgia, excitement, and togetherness that makes the fair a must-visit. Whether with family, as a couple, or among friends, everyone finds their favorite moment: the multicolored lights reflecting off the buildings, the smell of fresh treats, or the characteristic sounds of pinball machines and game booths.

Hours that fit everyone’s rhythm

For this edition, the organizers have ensured a generous schedule, allowing for both afternoon fun and nighttime outings:
*Sunday to Thursday: 2 PM – 11 PM
*Friday and Saturday: until 1 AM
*December 24: closing at 10 PM
*December 25: closing at midnight
*December 31: special evening until 3 AM
*January 4: last day, closing at 9 PM

These extended hours will let everyone enjoy the festive magic, whether you’re taking a break from Christmas shopping, winding down after a workday, or celebrating a special evening.

Rides, thrills, and treats on the agenda

The 2025 edition promises a fantastic variety of attractions. Thrill-seekers can look forward to even more impressive rides, easily seen from afar thanks to their towering structures.Families will be drawn to the carousels, little trains, and gentler rides designed just for kids. And it's impossible to talk about a fair without mentioning the tastiest part: freshly fried churros, hot waffles, shiny candy apples, Dutch donuts, and generous crepes... A delicious aroma will waft through the esplanade, irresistibly attracting strollers between attractions.

A simple access right in the city center

Located in the heart of Rennes, the fair is easily accessible. The Charles-de-Gaulle station (line A) drops you directly at the foot of the rides, while the Colombier, Gares, and Saint-Germain stations (line B) are just a few minutes' walk away. Drivers will also have the choice of several nearby parking options: Charles-de-Gaulle, Colombier, or Gare-Sud.

Entrance is completely free; you only pay for the attractions.
