This year, join us on September 20 and 21, 2025 for a weekend full of discoveries in Rennes, as well as in Saint-Malo, Vitré, Fougères, and many towns in Ille-et-Vilaine.
Rennes opens its doors and treasures
The program looks generous, with a multitude of free visits that are open and don’t require reservations. Among the must-sees:
*The Jacques Cartier Prison (Saturday and Sunday from 1 PM to 6 PM), an iconic place steeped in history.
*The Hôtel de Blossac, a stunning private mansion from the 18th century (Saturday and Sunday from 2 PM to 5 PM).
*The Parliament of Brittany, one of the jewels of the city: guided tours every 15 minutes, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and from 1:30 PM to 6 PM.
*The City Hall (Sunday from 10 AM to 5:45 PM), for a behind-the-scenes look at the municipal institution.
And that's not all: Les Champs Libres, the FRAC Brittany, and the Departmental Archives also welcome you to explore exhibitions, collections, and well-kept secrets.

Between Culture and Togetherness
JEMP isn't just about visiting monuments. This edition also highlights meetups, workshops, and fun activities. For example:
*La Paillette and the Saint-Cyr Park will offer creative workshops and outdoor activities on Sunday from 3 PM to 8 PM.
*The Écomusée de la Bintinais invites you to explore the languages of Brittany through singing walks, tastings, and screenings.
*In Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, the former Haut-Bois farm, now transformed into an artistic hub, will host a brunch, photo exhibition, and games on Sunday.
*For local history enthusiasts, a tour in Bruz will revisit the bombings of May 8, 1944, tracing an important chapter of collective memory.
Whether you're a history buff, a fan of contemporary art, or just a curious soul looking for a unique outing, JEMP 2025 is a wonderful opportunity to (re)discover your area in a different way.
