While we’ve been a bit grumpy with the weather lately, with a mix of rain, snow, and cold, two exciting pieces of news come our way this week! First off, a much kinder weather is here to give us a little winter break with the return of the sun and temperatures that may soar above 15°C. Secondly, we have an amazing rise of the city of Reims in a ranking where it was least expected: the top 20 sunniest cities in France!

In Reims, it seems that the clouds move along more quickly in the Reims sky.Also, Reims is known for its cold winters but mild summers, with rather frequent but light rains scattered throughout the year. On the other hand, Reims is not one of the most calientes cities, with an average temperature ranging between 10 and 11°C, but let’s not forget, it contributes to the production of some really good champagne.

The Southern Cities Take the Lead
No surprise here: it’s the south of France, by the Mediterranean, that obviously tops the list of the sunniest cities in France!
And guess what? The city of Ajaccio in Corsica is number 1, racking up an amazing 2,967 hours of sunshine, shattering the national average of 2,112 hours of sun. In 2nd and 3rd places, we have Marseille and Aix-en-Provence, respectively.
