The Fondation Louis Roederer celebrates its 15 years with the people of Reims

2026 is definitely a big year for the Maison Louis Roederer: when its Foundation, which supports contemporary artistic creation on a daily basis, celebrates its 15th year.

It's been 15 years, and the Maison de Champagne Louis Roederer is celebrating its 250 years!

In the spirit of this double anniversary, the Fondation Louis Roederer has invited the choreographer Dimitri Chamblas to envision a danced performance, co-created with the willing residents of the city of Reims. The idea? To pay tribute to the city of coronations and its inhabitants, through a collective, inclusive artistic event that encourages encounter and sharing.

Slow Show, a participatory performance open to all Reims residents

Slow Show is the name of the performance that will come to life before the spectators on Saturday, May 23, 2026, and they will experience a truly suspended moment.

Dimitri Chamblas, a renowned dancer, has crafted a choreography where the movements are slowed down to the extreme, set to music by composer Eddie Ruscha, blending samples of electro and more. Real sounds of the city of Reims.

And the concept goes even further, as the dancers will all be... from Reims! The Foundation invites the residents of Reims to take part in the creation of Slow Show. Never danced before? No worries, the moment is open to everyone, no matter their level of dance experience!

How to participate?

The call for participation is open from the Louis Roederer Foundation, and if you’d like to be a dancer for a day in this incredible experience, now is the time to sign up!

Open to everyone aged 18 and over, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced dancer, the only requirement is to be available for rehearsals, which will take place from May 19 to 22 at the Maison Roederer in Reims from 6 PM to 9:30 PM.

The final performance will, of course, be free and open to all on the steps of the Cathedral on Saturday, May 23 at 4 PM. A rare moment that you really don't want to miss.
